Bio

Anni Tracy, originally from Westfield, NJ, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Photography from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Her passion for visual exploration has influenced her moves to Santa Fe, NM, Denali Park, AK and Telluride, CO in recent years, as well as encouraging photographic tours through the greater US, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, the Bahamas and much of western Europe. Anni currently resides in Portland, where she is Photo Assignment Editor of the Portland Tribune, volunteering at the Art Museum and Newspace Center for Photography, marketing her own images and working freelance projects in her spare time.

Statement

Anni Tracy's photographic work regards the beautiful and decrepit nature and character found in an urban setting, but rather than focus on the decay and decline of each place, her images wish to present the connection of place through color and texture, these distinctive qualities competing with each other to abstract the compositional elements within the image.
