New Public Mural by Eric Wixon

San Diego based artist Eric Wixon visited Portland and left his mark on the west wall of the garage on SE Belmont Street & 30th. Although Eric has been out of town for the past three years, you may recall seeing the 1200 square-foot mural the he painted with Jesse Reno at New American Casuals (326 SE Morrison) back in 2005.

Incorporated into the mural was a 24″ × 24″ painting on plywood. This piece was fixed to the upper-left part of the wall with duct tape before Eric started painting. Sometime after the mural had been completed, the piece was “removed” unveiling a part of the previous mural which I believe was painted by Herbert Baglione of Sáo Paulo Brazil last August during Fifty24pdx’s grand opening celebration.
